An author must keep secrets. The measured dropping of clues until the big reveal is the name of the game in a Cozy Mystery, after all. I get this. No problem.
However, it’s the secrets the author never gets to tell that irritate the stuffing out of me.
Heady backstories of characters or the scandalous details of minor events barely touched upon on the page usually fall into this despicable category.
My problem? I want to tell all. I want to be that gossipy relative who shares unspeakable stories of your uncle’s “bad years on the road.”
Unfortunately, an author is not a gossip. The world is an unfair place, indeed.
Until tomorrow…
