Purloining the Peach

stockvault-fresh-peaches-on-the-tree204835A reader’s heart is not a ripened peach.

It is not (and should not) be easy to pluck and capture in the writer’s hands.

An author must be able to grab the heart when it is least expected, pull and twist it away from its harboring branches and steal it away without a warning breath.

(How a Cozy Mystery writer does this, I’m still working on.)

Until tomorrow…
