Loose ends distract me.
A plotline that is not tied up at the end of a story sours the whole experience for me, both as a writer and a reader.
Cozy Mysteries, in particular, need to be finished off with tidy, little bows.
Unfortunately, I have fat, nervous fingers that worry obsessively over these bows, demanding they be perfect and tight.
Hence a cycle of distraction is born.
Hence the madness creeps closer.
Talk about a loose end.
