When to introduce the sleuth? That’s my current Cozy quandary.
Most people advise starting this style of mystery novel off with a blow-by-blow take of the murder. Something shocking, something grabbing, something that will leave the reader no choice but to continue reading.
Only then does the sleuth enter, often as the calm in the proverbial storm.
But what if your sleuth is a storm unto herself?
Can the sleuth come first?
Hmm, this might be worth some thought.
