Resuscitating Reason

Doctor examining and holding an x-ray image on his handWhen plotting and scheming, a Cozy Mystery writer often neglects simplicity in favor of innovation. Making a splash with the reader (or the publisher-to-be) takes precedence over the mundanity of logic.

This is a bad, bad thing.

I should know. I am guilty to the bone of this.

However, it’s never too late to breathe common sense back into a storyline.

I should know. Currently, I’m resuscitating The Shallcross Burden.

So, please, pardon the wheezes and hacks. My lungs are scratchy from coughing up forgotten reason.
