I’m stingy with Luck in my writing. (I feel it’s a copout for the sleuth to stumble upon the crucial clue. I demand my characters work for their success. Color me hardass.)
Unfortunately, Cozy Mysteries have an affinity for relying on the pleasant happenstance to move a plot along. (Nothing wrong with this. It’s just not my style.)
Hence, trouble is brewing in the crafting of The Shallcross Burden.
In the end, fisticuffs may decide this thing… and I fear Luck will not be on my side.
