
Summer falls
With a yellow swagger
Of sweat and old man tired.
Apparently, the August doldrums of yellowing grass and exhausted leaves have arrived early to northern Alabama. They drifted in on firecracker tails last night.
Goody.
Just what this pandemic (and her chief nut) needs is an old swamp-feel to each day.
There better not be frogs, though.
